What if there was an app to help you manage things around you? Things you own like fridge, washing machine, cars, credit/debit cards..

Remember the time when your washing machine's drier stopped working during the monsoon season & you had to quit your gym because you had squeeze laundry yourself?

What if

  1. What if when you buy the new fridge, shop owner links it to your profile so that whenever you need invoice or service you don't need to search it through stashed documents/emails.
  2. What if it was easier to get to the customer care. Because they now know everything about the product. Invoice, Address, date of purchase, in/out-warranty, etc
  3. What if Urban-Clap kind of service was linked with product, so they could provide better-cheaper service. History of repairs could also be linked to the appliance, for further analysis. (Did the same motor blew up again)
  4. What if Quikr kind of service was deeply tied, so it were easy to sell it via a click of button & share history of repairs so the next person who purchases it, can purchase with a little more confidence & pay a little more in return.
  5. What if you could get the spare motor for better price and more warranty.
  6. What if you could see accessories curated for your product.

Problems - Opportunities

  1. Currently there is no communication channel b/w shop owner & consumer after the purchase has been made. Which affects loyaly, services & overall experience.
  2. Selling products is difficult. Using Quikr is difficult.
  3. As consumer Searching for spare part, accessories is difficult.
  4. As seller, knowing whom to sell is difficult.
  5. As a seller, to sell more you need to run ads. But its not possible to run campaign for kind of customers.

Business Opportunities

  1. A platform for shop owners to connect & sell more.
  2. A platform to nudge into exchanging product (You could tell how this fridge is better than your current one & cost of overall deal)
  3. A platform to cross sell
    • If a person owns Honda City, sell them this accessory.

Current tools

  1. Excel/Google Sheet
  2. Google drive
  3. Digilocker
  4. 1Password

Gaps

  1. Messaging gap. Either SMS or Call
    • SMS is not interactive. Calling is not scalable & requires both parties to be present synchronously.
  2. UX gap. Either Excel or 1Password
    • Excel is dumb. 1Password is designed for a specific use case.
  3. Storage gap. Google-drive is built for any kind of data.
    • Google drive is built for horizontal data. We now need something for vertical.
  4. Sharing Gap.
    • Difficult to share data with a group / family.

These Things we own, end up owning us when they are not managed properly.
